Camp Wanza was started in 2019. It was inspired by our Tywanza Sanders, and his entrepreneurial spirit and his dedication to education. Throughout Tywanza's life, he tried his hand at several businesses, a lemonade stand, car freshener fragrances and later barbering. Tywanza was dedicated to furthering his education and making sure that the younger kids in the family stayed active in education as well, even in the summer time. These displays of his combined tenacity is what inspired the development of Camp Wanza.

Camp Wanza is a 2 week camp, where hands-on instructional activity takes participants from having a business idea, right up to starting the business. They learn the fundamentals of starting a business, being competitive in their industry, creating a profit/loss statement, creating marketing materials, giving back, etc. The culmination day of camp, each participant presents their business idea in a shark tank type panel, where they will receive feedback, advice, and even have a chance to earn seed money towards starting their business.
THE LEGACY AMBASSADOR PROGRAM
The Legacy Ambassador program gives youth and young adults the experience of being an active representative of the Tywanza Sanders® Legacy Foundation while earning community service hours. Ambassadors will participate in a variety of activities including events, programs, and tasks directly impacting the goals of the organization. Each ambassador must be ambitious, take initiative, and be willing to lead and learn, teach and follow. Ambassadors can earn the coveted TSLF blazer and apply for exclusive scholarships.
